so you probably already know that airport security is very much like volunteering to throw yourself against a wall repeatedly, but did you also know that the TSA is now considering babies as potential terror suspects? it’s true. while working our way through security this morning, we witnessed as a mother was asked to remove the shoes of her young daughter. keep in mind that by young, I mean less than one year of age. I suppose this is because there have recently been a rash of infant shoe bombers that we need protection from? I thought it was bad that I needed to remove my sandals to go through security, but that seems to pale in comparison to this new horror. what’s next? I’m pretty sure we can’t legally remove any more clothing without being arresting for public indecency.

I suppose what I really wanted to say was, thank you Mr. TSA for protecting me against all the evils that small children are trying to purport in the world today.

leg of trip one

so we managed to arrive in Denver today. it was a pretty smooth trip. we managed to get into Denver before bad traffic really started, so that was cool. our flight isn’t too early tomorrow, so I guess we sort of get to sleep in. anyway, we both can’t wait to get on the plane and zip off to Indiana tomorrow. hopefully we have no flight problems. here’s your picture for today. I took it outside our window from our third floor room. the unconformity in the bottom of the picture is the top of a building a little ways away from us. ta-da!

can’t think of a title, comment in your own

so today we hanged out at the Fenske residence because….. well, we couldn’t really think of anything else to do. that’s literally how slow our day went. Tabitha and Roberta did some staining stuff, while Treyce and I played some halo. he made fun of me for not being able to shoot people as well as he can. I cried a little, but I hid it in my sleeve, so it’s all good.

the important thing is that we went for a short walk down over the river. the river is CRAZY high this year. and by that I mean that it hasn’t been remotely this full since 1984 (apparently). I took several pictures, but here’s the one you get to see. if you want more, feel free to contribute to the Donny needs a pro flickr account fun. cash and checks only.
