this town ain’t big enough for the two of us….
so I guess we’ll take measures to avoid having too much contact with our biting, stinging, pain-in-the-butt, crawling neighbors.
LIGHTNING!!!!!111!
we finally got a picture of lightning! we had to stand on top of a barren hill while Tabitha held her jacket over the camera in the rain, but after a ton of tries, we got it! maybe not the best lightning picture ever, but we thought it was pretty sweet.
roses… or irony?
while the content of this picture may be somewhat lacking, there’s just something about it that says, “post me.” this is from the same set as the picture from my last post, taken only minutes earlier. there was all kinds of crazy stuff piled up in the back of the pickup just waiting to be buried in the ground.
writer’s block
no real inspiration for what to write today, so it’s just the picture. I’m undecided whether I actually like the picture or not, but but it’s the only one I can think of to post. if you leave hurtful comments I’ll understand.
super patriotic
we have the distinct pleasure of babysitting for Brittney this evening. we don’t really have any toys/games for kids, so we made them walk for long periods of time instead. kids like that, right? also, I should have done this forever ago, but I’ve finally started shooting in RAW, and it’s pretty much revolutionized my entire life.
them stormy clouds
so I tried my hardest to get a picture of lightning, but it didn’t really work out at all. I sorta got one towards the end, but it’s not a very good shot. there just wasn’t enough lightning to go around! at least not near our house. I think there was lightning sort of happening in this picture, just not where the camera can really see it. looks kind of neat anyway though!
a day that will live in infamy..
July 20 2008 marks one year that Tabitha and I have been married. not too shabby. it was pretty much the sweetest day so far this year. I gave her flowers, we went out to eat, watched a movie, went out to eat again, the usual. all in all, a pretty cool day.
words
today I though about how I really should try and figure out some kind of regular update schedule for my blog. it seems like I only think about blogging right after I upload pictures, and if I don’t do it right away, no blog. no official announcement yet, but I’m thinking of trying to assign myself certain days for which I will upload. this also means I’m going to have to be more diligent about what photos I keep private on flickr so that I actually have something unseen to post
.
couple of big announcements for Tabitha and me! we’ve been planning on doing Treyce’s senior pictures for a while, so that’s not too new, but now we’ve also become the official wedding photographers for our friends’ Kacee and Wes’s upcoming wedding! lots of pressure, but we’re planning on getting a couple of slick upgrades for our camera before then, so hopefully we’ll be ready to go. plus, Tabitha has basically looked at every wedding photo ever taken on the internet EVAH. so she has a pretty good idea of what makes a good picture
.
I’m sure I’ll mention all the neato stuff we’re planning on getting for the camera when it happens, so you’ll have to wait in suspense till then. make sure to check out our attempt to be artsy with our downtown portraits!
so cute your head will pop
so I realize that I’ve pretty much been advertising the crap out of this photo, but I still can’t seem to convince myself not to post it on my blog anyways. not too much to say about it, except that this cat will rock your face off with its adorable-osity. it’s a word.
haven’t posted this one anywhere yet, but it would be the view right before he got sick of me and gave out the rasberry.
