upside down hotel

July 11, 2008 at 3:57 am (Uncategorized)

Tabitha and I went for a walk this evening. I kind of wanted something to take pictures of, and we both wanted to get out of the house for a little while. we ended up going a lot farther than we usually do (down to the airport-ish). I think it was because we were discussing someone else’s wedding plans. anyway, this is the upside down hotel we saw on the way there. pretty crazy, right?

post 4th

July 6, 2008 at 9:37 pm (Uncategorized)

so the 4th of July was pretty fun. we actually went to TWO barbecues and had tons of food. barbecues ftw. besides that we pretty much just sat around a did nothing, which was totally okay with me since it’s felt like we’ve been going places constantly lately. of course we did go and see the fireworks. they were mucho fun, and a nice chance to test out our new lenses! did I mention we got two new lenses for our camera? my uncle was generous enough to give us a couple of his old lenses to use for the time being. they may be a little dated, but they’re pretty sharp. especially compared to the kit lens we’ve been using.

Tabitha made a sweet bowl of fruit, filled with fruit!

farmers market doesn’t sell farmers

July 4, 2008 at 5:13 pm (Uncategorized)

We went and walked around the farmer’s market for a while last night. the merchandise isn’t really all that interesting to us, but they usually have some good live music and various other fun things to watch. unfortunately we were assaulted by some Jesus shouters in the street. I’m not really sure how they think that accomplishes anything useful, but whatever.

We did get to see the guy from Apex tattoo though! He probably put Tabitha’s nose ring back in like five times when she couldn’t get it, and he’s basically the nicest person ever. Plus, the Transformers tattoo on his neck, right next to the Star Wars Rebellion insignia, is totally awesome. And he can juggle while riding a unicycle!
