little miss muffet
that’s a stupid name. and what’s a tuffet anyways? sorry that this picture is actually a little old (a week), and it’s been viewable on flickr for pretty much that whole time, but I don’t have a ton of options tonight. Ben and I did some very cool climbing in Unaweep Canyon today, but I didn’t have my camera! it made me indescribably sad. new pictures soon though, I swear!
football post
blurg. just got back from Ben’s house. super tired. his dad is super cool though, and a really good cook. plus, Tabitha made some awesome ice cream pie. here is your picture, taken at Thursday night’s mesa state game (we lost).
gripping
one more picture from our adventure to Dynamite Shacks, I swear. I’ve been waiting to post this one for a couple days, as I had some other things lined up in the mean time. hopefully a lot of today will be photography time. exciting news is that I’m hoping to receive our new battery grip for our camera today (who knows what UPS will do though), and I should be getting some cool picture from the Mavs game tonight! I guess we’re playing a Texas school or something, so we’ll probably get pwned. oh well.
clouds and climbing
taken at Dynamite shacks while we were out climbing last Monday. lots of thunder, but we never really saw any lightning, and we never quite got rained on.
bowed bench
taken at Sherwood Park. these benches seem pretty sturdy, so how is it that they have such large depressions in some of them? in other news, I’ve been looking at renting a very sexy lens from borrowlenses.com. seems like a cool setup, and it would be great for when we shoot KaCee’s wedding in October. you can pretty much find anything on the interwebs.
olympics
just wanted to put out some of my thoughts about the Olympics real fast. first of all, I would have to say that Michael Phelps has brought more patriotism and unity in America in two weeks than anything that’s happened to us in the last few years, and he did it all with his freaky genetic fish/man body.
the second thing is that, holy crap, the Chinese don’t mess around when it comes to ceremonies. did you even see that memory tower thing? PEOPLE WERE FLYING ABOUT IN THE AIR!! the whole thing would have seemed somewhat ridiculous if my brain had any function after they were done blowing it away with their crazy tricks. props to you China, if nothing else, you can put on one heck of a show. (note that I can’t even begin to speak of their fireworks. those didn’t even make sense.)
begin 1 mile
but where do you end? taken in sherwood park on a totally uncalled for hot day. it was fun though. (note: we did not walk the mile, that’s way too much work for us)
ant’s eye view
or maybe honey I shrunk the kids style? either way I’m excited about this picture. although Tabitha deserves a lot of credit for it, as it was probably one of a kind in the entire park, and she spotted it. anyone need some new wall art?
my brown eyed girl
just hanging out today. Friday makes a very light day of school for Tabitha and I. not quite a three day weekend, but it’s pretty close. who knows what adventures will ensue!
